Plant a tree
Temp-Team and Juhler Group have been focusing on environmental sustainability since 2016 through our "Plant a Tree Campaign", where we commit to planting one tree for every position we fill.
In 2024, we entered into a partnership with Treeapp, a global organization that has planted over 200 tree species on five continents and received recognition from Sir David Attenborough. We have so far replanted an entire forest in Indonesia, and are currently working on a project in Tanzania.
Treeapp's model ensures effective replanting through direct collaboration with local communities and non-profit organizations, which provides both a positive environmental and social impact.
Mangrovetrær i Indonesia
In 2024, we started our tree planting project in Indonesia, where we have invested in a private area to restore mangrove forests.
Indonesia’s unique tropical climate and island geography provide the basis for some of the world’s richest biodiversity. However, Indonesia has lost over 40% of its mangrove forests in the last three decades.
Mangrove trees are important for forming natural barriers for erosion control, protecting farmers’ land during tropical storms and floods. This reforestation effort will also benefit around 300 species of tropical birds and over 500 species of coral reefs.
As a result of effective efforts, this forest was completely planted in 2026, and we have moved our efforts further to Tanzania.
Treplanting in Tanzania
From April 2026, we have planted trees in the Usambara Mountains of Tanzania, where an estimated 85% of forest cover has been lost since the 1970s.
Our tree planting in Tanzania helps restore damaged areas, support agroforestry, and contribute to better yields and less pressure on natural forests. Our planting is done strategically in collaboration with local communities to identify which areas are most vulnerable to damage, and select the right tree species to counteract the effects of deforestation or invasive species.
The project also creates important local jobs. In partnership with over 200 villages in the Lushoto district, we facilitate employment and income opportunities, with a particular focus on women and equal opportunities.
